Overview

ApplyIQ ("the Extension") is a Chrome Extension that helps users generate AI-ready context packages from job postings and their saved resume.

Data Collection

ApplyIQ collects no personal data and operates no servers.

The Extension does not:

• Collect, transmit, or share any personal information with ApplyIQ
• Use analytics, tracking, or telemetry of any kind
• Require account creation or authentication
• Store any data in cloud services operated by ApplyIQ

Data Storage

All data stored by ApplyIQ lives exclusively on the user's device:

• Resume text (pasted by user) → Stored in chrome.storage.local • OpenRouter API key (entered by user) → Stored in chrome.storage.local

chrome.storage.local stores data on the user's device only. It is never synchronized to Google's servers unless the user has Chrome Sync explicitly enabled for extension data. ApplyIQ does not control Chrome Sync.

How the Extension Works

1. The user pastes their resume into the Extension popup. It is saved to chrome.storage.local.
2. When the user clicks "Generate AI Context" on a job page, the Extension reads the job description from the current page's DOM locally.
3. The resume and job description are compiled locally into a context package.
4. The package is copied to the user's clipboard.
